Mission

Pretrial services under the General Division began operation on February 1, 1999. Our mission is to develop and provide services that support informed, accountable pretrial release and detention decisions that neither unduly restrict a defendant's liberty nor compromise the community's safety, and to provide objective and relevant information related to diversion/treatment program eligibility for programs such as the Butler County Specialty Courts .

Staff

The staff consists of three screening officers, three supervision officers and a director.

Office Hours

Our Hamilton office is located at 101 High Street, in the Butler County Courthouse, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are also able to meet with defendants in the Middletown office located at 1301 Reynolds Ave.
